A Brampton man is wanted in connection with the death of a Toronto woman whose body was found at a park in Lincoln, Ont. earlier this week and police say he may have fled the country.
On Friday, Niagara Regional Police issued a Canada-wide warrant for the arrest of 27-year-old Manpreet Singh.
He is alleged to have killed 27-year-old Amanpreet Saini of North York.
Her body was found with traumatic injuries at Charles Daley Park, near North Service Road and Highway 406, on Tuesday morning.
“This is believed to have been a targeted attack with no ongoing threat to public safety,” police said.
Singh is wanted for second-degree murder. Police said they have information to believe that he fled the country after Saini’s body was discovered.
They are asking anyone with information to contact homicide investigators at 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009451 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
