Caitlin Clark has enjoyed a rapid rise to stardom, quickly becoming one of the most recognizable faces in the WNBA. The 23-year-old was snatched up as the first overall draft pick by the Indiana Fever after her record-shattering college career and swiftly made a name for herself in the professional ranks, both on and off the court.

During her stint with the Iowa Hawkeyes, Clark became the NCAA Division I all-time leading scorer, prompting the Fever to select her as their first draft pick. She moved seamlessly into the WNBA, being named Rookie of the Year, although injuries dampened her second season in Indiana.

The ‘Caitlin Clark effect’ is a phrase that was first used to describe the sport’s surge in popularity during her college days. Clark’s significant value was mirrored in an estimated net worth of $3.8 million last year, as reported by the Mirror, despite her four-year contract with the Fever raking in around $338,000. However, her net worth has continued to climb.

Most of Clark’s income stems from endorsement deals. The WNBA All-Star already had high-profile Name, Image, and Likeness contracts with big names like Nike, Gatorade and Bose during her college years.

Translating her popularity into the WNBA, Clark’s net worth now sits at a cool $10M, according to CelebrityNetWorth, a figure that’s likely to keep on growing. In 2024, the Fever star inked a lucrative deal with sports goods company Wilson.

However, the most notable endorsement deal of Clark’s budding career came in August when she was unveiled as a Nike signature athlete. This followed a reported $28M agreement last year and includes Clark having her own unique Nike logo, launching sportswear and apparel collections and even boasting a signature sneaker.

“Nike’s signature roster features all-time greats, and I am incredibly proud to join some of the best athletes in the world,” Clark said in a statement. “I’m excited to share a first look at what we’ve started to create together.”

On the topic of having her own signature logo, Clark added: “To me, this is more than just a logo, it’s a dream come true. People always talk about leaving your mark on the game — and this is another way I can do that.”

Clark’s signature shoe and Nike apparel collection are set to be launched next year. She will join A’ja Wilson and Sabrina Ionescu as active WNBA players with a signature sneaker.

Clark’s other sponsorship deals include State Farm, Hy-Vee, Xfinity, and Panini. However, it’s her deals with Nike and Wilson that are expected to significantly boost her income.

Despite notably turning down a reportedly lucrative offer to compete in the inaugural Unrivaled season last year, the 23-year-old has seen her net worth soar. It was claimed that Clark was offered a $1M salary plus other incentives, but she opted not to compete during the offseason.

Despite her financial stability and focus on fitness during the previous offseason, Clark’s season was disrupted by injuries this year, limiting her to just 13 appearances in the Fever’s regular season games.

With Clark sidelined, the Fever wrapped up the regular season with a 24-20 record. They secured a playoff spot and defeated the Atlanta Dream, but fell short against the Las Vegas Aces in the semi-finals.
