The AFC playoff picture as of Week 9 is:

The Indianapolis Colts’ breakout season continued Sunday with another dominant victory, this time a 38-14 victory over division foes, the Tennessee Titans. Daniel Jones continued his MVP-caliber season, completing 21-of-29 passes for 272 yards and three touchdowns.

Offensive Player of the Year candidate Jonathan Taylor continued his dominance on the ground, carrying 12 times for 153 yards and two touchdowns.

That potent pairing, in head coach Shane Steichen’s offensive scheme, have breathed new life into an organization that had modest expectations entering 2025, at best, and made fans believers in Jones again for the first time since his days at the University of North Carolina.

The team’s path to the No. 1 overall seed in the AFC will not be easy, with upcoming match-ups against Pittsburgh (Week 9), Kansas City (Week 12), Seattle (Week 15), and San Francisco (Week 16), as well as divisional showdowns against Tennessee, Jacksonville, and Houston.

The Colts have silenced all doubters to this point in the season, though, and should continue to do so, establishing themselves as a legitimate postseason and Super Bowl contender, if the level of play on both sides of the ball continues.
