Ottawa Senators
The Ottawa Senators have recalled goaltender Hunter Shepard from the AHL’s Belleville Senators.
Shepard, 29, has a 2-1-0 record with a 2.69 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage in three AHL games this season.
No corresponding roster move was announced Monday.
Last week, loaned Mads Sogaard to the AHL club and recalled Leevi Meriläinen, who remains with the team.
Washington Capitals
The Capitals signed forward Brett Leason to a one-year, two-way contract on Monday and placed on him on waivers to assign him to the AHL’s Hershey Bears.
Leason was a free agent who had spent training camp with the Minnesota Wild on a PTO.
