LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky women’s golf program put the finishing touches on its schedule for the upcoming season, head coach Golda Borst – who enters her 16th season at the helm – announced Friday.
The 2025-26 UK women’s golf schedule, which features four regular-season tournaments in the fall and five regular-season tournaments in the spring, includes three new events for the program. Following the regular season are three postseason opportunities, beginning with the always-competitive Southeastern Conference Championship in late April.
The Wildcats will embark on one of those new events right out of the gate, competing at the prestigious Folds of Honor Collegiate at American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven, Michigan, Sept. 8-10. It will be broadcast live each day on the Golf Channel, one of two events to broadcast the Cats on TV in 2025-26.
Kentucky will stay north for its next tournament, visiting the Windy City Classic in Chicago, Illinois, Sept. 29-30, the program’s first time back in more than a decade. UK’s only appearance at the Windy City Classic was in 2014-15, when it hauled in a 923 (+59) for 14th place.
Following its stint up north, UK will head to a familiar tournament at the Ruth’s Chris Tar Heel Invitational. Hosted at the Finley Golf Club in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, UK has played in the field nine other times. Just last year, UK forced an 870 (+30) out of a tough 17-team field, and just three years ago, UK won the team championship in 2022. UK will then conclude its fall schedule at The Landfall Tradition at Landfall Country Club in Wilmington, North Carolina, Oct. 24-26. UK has played in it just twice in program history, once in 2015-16 and again in 2017-18. UK earned its best finish in October 2017, assembling a 594 (+18) through two rounds to come in 12th place.
The Wildcats will take on five tournaments in the spring prior to the postseason, three of which they competed in last spring. They’ll start at the Paradise Invitational at Osprey Point Golf Club in Boca Raton, Florida, Feb 2-4, before returning to the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational at Palm Aire Country Club in Sarasota, Florida, Feb. 15-16. The Cats had one of their better performances at the Paradise Invitational last spring, earning the lowest 18-hole team score during the final round to jump into third place (852, -12).
The Cats will then compete at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at Long Cove Golf Club in Hilton Head, South Carolina, March 2-4. It will mark the Cats’ eighth all-time appearance at the event, which annually is broadcast on Golf Channel.
Kentucky will then play at back-to-back new tournaments, including the Valspar Augusta Invitational at Forest Acres Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, March 14-15 and the Terps Invitational at the University of Maryland Golf Course in College Park, Maryland, April 5-6.
The SEC Championship returns to the Pelican Golf Club in Tampa, Florida, for the third straight season April 17-21. Last spring, Kentucky made a push down the stretch but fell short of advancing to match play, finishing in 11th place (862, +22).
NCAA Regionals are scheduled for May 11-13 at six locations – to be announced – across the nation, while the NCAA Championship returns to Omni La Costa Resort and Spa at Carlsbad, California, for the third straight season.
