Booker T may have gotten carried away during a recent WWE NXT event, but he is apologizing for his actions.

The WWE Hall of Famer was on commentary for the Halloween Havoc main event on October 25. The main event featured Ricky Saints defending the NXT Championship against Trick Williams.

After Saints retained his title with a top-rope assisted DDT, WWE picked up audio of Booker T throwing his headset. Vic Joseph suggested that his partner’s reaction stemmed from Saints’ successful defense against Trick.

Speaking on a recent episode of his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T basically apologized for his actions and admitted that he was upset by the outcome.

“I wanna apologize to the NXT Universe for throwing my headset at the end of the Ricky Saints Trick Williams match,” he said. “I was a little upset because I was backing my boy Trick Williams, but Ricky Saints he showed up and went out there and did his job, even though he had the little Xerxes veil going. Just wanted to apologize because that got picked up in the news. Look here, we’ve all got our favorites, it’s just part of the game.” [H/T: WrestleTalk]
