The Carolina Hurricanes have activated goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov from injured reserve, the team announced Friday.
Defenceman K’Andre Miller was also placed on IR, retroactive to Oct. 10, in a corresponding move.
Kochetkov, 26, had missed the start of the regular season while dealing with a lower-body.
The Penza, Russia native resumed skating with the team on Monday for the first time since suffering the injury in practice ahead of the the team’s season opener earlier this month.
In 47 starts for Carolina last year, Kochetkov posted a 27-16-3 record with a 2.60 goals-against average and am .898 save percentage.
Miller, 25, had missed the team’s past four contests with a lower-body injury of his own.
The St. Paul, Minn. native got off to a hot start in his first season with the Hurricanes after being traded from the New York Rangers over the summer, posting two goals and two assists across his first six games played this year.
