Smartphones come in a various shapes and sizes, and offer a variety of features. Some phones fold, some take pictures at 100x zoom, while others have magnets and charge super quickly.

Personally, I love phones that have gimmicks, like the LG G8 ThinQ’s fun Air Motions and Hand ID that would read your palm to unlock your device, and would allow you to turn up your music’s volume with the motion of turning up a nob.

Other fun gimmicks over the years include the Pixel’s Active Edge and HTC’s Edge Sense, which allowed users to do things like take a picture or summon the Google Assistant by squeezing the sides of their handset. While these gimmicks usually aren’t the most useful, I love that they bring something exciting to the table.

However, what’s important to you? Do you need your phone to be incredibly thin, or have a super large battery? Let us know in the comments below.
