Damiris Dantas plays for the Indiana Fever, but is currently with Turkey’s Botas SK during the WNBA offseason.
She recently shared her personal struggles: “You can’t be strong all the time…and that’s okay.”
Dantas becomes a WNBA free agent after her contract ends following the 2025 season.
Damiris Dantas recently completed her second season with the Indiana Fever. The 6-foot-4 center-forward came off the bench for head coach Stephanie White, averaging 4.6 points and 2.4 rebounds in 11.6 minutes per contest. Dantas was no star, but she played a significant role as part of the Fever’s rotation in the regular season.
The 32-year-old veteran recently left the United States for the WNBA offseason. She signed with Turkish side Botas SK, which plays in the Turkish Women’s Basketball Super League. Dantas was a dominant force in their last game, dropping a 28-point, 10-rebound double-double in their 113-104 overtime loss to Nesibe Aydin on Oct. 25.
