Following its premiere in Venice, screenings at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), and a recent theatrical run, Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein will land on Netflix this month. It’s been a lifelong dream for the filmmaker to adapt Mary Shelley’s story. Oscar Isaac plays tortured scientist Victor Frankenstein, who creates the Creature, played by Jacob Elordi.
Stranger Things Season 5 — Nov. 26
It’s a bittersweet moment for fans of the Netflix smash hit Stranger Things, with Volume 1 of Season 5, the show’s final season, set to be released in November, followed by Volume 2 on Christmas Day. The Hawkins crew comes together for their toughest challenge yet, as the town is under military quarantine and Vecna is “unleashing fresh nightmares.”

Prime Video is absolutely crushing it with the book-to-screen adaptations, and Maxton Hall is one of our favourites. Coming back for Season 2, Ruby (Harriet Herbig-Matten) has to navigate her feelings for James (Damian Hardung), someone she feels so strongly about, but he’s also hurt her a great deal. And it’s particularly difficult when he’s trying to win her back.
Malice — Nov. 14
Jack Whitehall, David Duchovny and Carice van Houten star in Malice, a series about a tutor, Adam (Whitehall), who “charms his way” into the lives of the wealthy Tanner family during a holiday in Greece. After the family’s nanny falls ill, Adam starts trying to turn Jamie Tanner (David Duchovny) and Nat (Carice Van Houten) against each other, showing his vengeful side.

The fan-favourite series Landman returns for Season 2, set on the Texas oil rigs and the communities that surround them. In Season 2, Tommy Norris, played by Billy Bob Thornton, is close to his breaking point, including having to face pressure from widowed Cami Miller (Demi Moore), who has taken over M-Tex Oil. Sam Elliott plays Tommy’s father, and the cast also includes Andy Garcia, Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, Paulina Chávez, Kayla Wallace, Mark Collie, James Jordan and Colm Feore.
Crutch — Nov. 3
A spinoff of The Neighbourhood, Tracy Morgan plays Francois “Crutch” Crutchfield in the series Crutch, a Harlem widower whose son and daughter move back into the family home.

Palm Royale Season 2 — Nov. 12
Kristen Wiig is back as Maxine Dellacorte in Palm Royal Season 2. After her public breakdown, Maxine must work hard to navigate and hopefully control the world of Palm Beach high society, while secrets, lies, and “the occasional felony” are revealed.

Easily one of the most exciting and hysterical TV releases for the year, Rachel Sennott’s new show I Love LA is absolutely a must-watch new series of the month. Sennott stars in the show as Maia. She’s working hard to be a successful talent manager in Los Angeles, and she realizes that her estranged friend from New York, popular influencer Tallulah (Odessa A’zion), may be her golden ticket to take her career to the next level.
Heated Rivalry — Nov. 28
The six-part Crave Original series Heated Rivalry is about two Major League Hockey stars, Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie), who started a secret fling when they were rookies. That turned into years of trying to navigate their real feelings for each other in the competitive hockey world. The show was created by Canadian writer-director-producer Jacob Tierney (Letterkenney, Shoresy) and is based on the book series Game Changers by Rachel Reid.
