Winnipeg Blue Bombers quarterback Zach Collaros said after Saturday’s season-ending loss to the Montreal Alouettes in the Eastern Semi-Final that he would like to continue playing in 2026.
Collaros, 37, is under contract with Winnipeg for one more season. According to TSN’s Matthew Scianitti, Collaros said that if he is not able to return with the Bombers’ core that he has options, though he did not elaborate what those are.

The Blue Bombers’ run of five straight Grey Cup appearances ended Saturday with a 42-33 defeat against the Alouettes in Montreal. Collaros was 19-of-26 for 306 yards and one touchdown compared to one interception, also losing a fumble.
Collaros has spent the last five and a half seasons in Winnipeg since coming over in a trade with the Saskatchewan Roughriders in October of 2019.
He threw for 3,048 yards and 17 touchdowns alongside 16 interceptions in 13 regular season games as the Bombers finished 10-8 and crossed over to play the Als in the Eastern semi.
He has also spent time with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Toronto Argonauts in addition to the Riders and Bombers throughout his 13-year CFL career.
