The Sunday afternoon window for Week 9 is headlined by two big MVP quarterbacks looking to build on their respective seasons; another duel between league MVPs Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes always makes for an intriguing matchup.

Chiefs-Bills presents a rematch of last season’s AFC title game between the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs, which the Chiefs won 32-29. However, Buffalo did beat Kansas City during the regular season last year and hopes for a repeat of that performance. These teams are even in head-to-head battles, at five wins apiece, including the postseason, since 2017. Both currently sit in an unfamiliar position, which is second place in their respective divisions.

There was some concern for star tight end Travis Kelce, who left the field a tad early ahead of halftime after taking a big hit in the end zone, but it appears there’s good news.

Kelce returned to the field after halftime and appears good to go.

The Bills will receive the second-half kickoff.

Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford is dealing tonight, tossing his third touchdown of the day — this time, another one to WR Davante Adams.

Adams has dominated this game so far (and particularly, touches in the end zone this season), with a 5-60-2 line.

Adams now has had back-to-back games with multiple receiving touchdowns, and has scored a touchdown in all but three of his eight games played this year — an impressive run for the 32-year-old, seeking a bounce-back after a disappointing tenure with the Jets.

Stafford has now gone 23-of-30 for 268 passing yards, 4 touchdowns and 0 interceptions for a passer rating of 142.8.

It’s the second time Josh Allen and Dalton Kincaid have connected for a monster play! This time, it’s a 47-yard reception for Kincaid, bringing his total through just under two quarters to a 3-71-1 line.

The Chiefs’ defense took Kincaid down at KC’s own 8-yard line, setting up a rushing touchdown for Ty Johnson, who took back-to-back carries at the goal line.

With the successful extra point attempt, the Bills now hold a 14-10 lead over the Chiefs with just under seven minutes to go in the first half.

Rams QB Matthew Stafford connects with wideout Puka Nacua for a 39-yard touchdown. Nacua missed the game against Jacksonville two weeks ago after suffering an ankle injury the previous week. The Rams were on a bye last week, so Nacua only missed one game.

The Kansas City Chiefs answered the Buffalo Bills with a touchdown of their own, as wide receiver Rashee Rice took a direct snap on the trick play to run it on from the 3-yard line.

Rice has now officially scored in each of his three games since returning from a six-game suspension to start the year, with 147 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns through his first two games.

Another MetLife Stadium casualty.

San Francisco 49ers first-round rookie DL Mykel Williams reportedly is thought to have suffered a torn ACL and will undergo an MRI for confirmation.

It’s the latest blow to the Niners, who have been decimated by injuries so far this season, already missing two key defenders — Nick Bosa (ACL) and Fred Warner (dislocated ankle) — and now down another.

Williams has started all nine games for the 49ers this season, with one sack, a fumble recovery, 19 combined tackles and 4 TFL.
