Since Outlander: Blood of my Blood is a prequel, fans can expect plenty of Easter eggs and slightly different versions of familiar faces.During Comic-Con 2025, showrunner Matthew B. Roberts revealed that Uncle Lamb, who raised Claire, will pop up in the series. He also hinted at the possibility that a 5-year-old Claire could potentially make an appearance as well.
Outlander: Blood of my Blood will give fans the chance to see characters in a new light — and maybe even meet some they’ve only read about.
On Friday, during a panel for the prequel series, showrunner Matthew B. Roberts told an inquiring fan that we will meet Uncle Lamb in the show. That’s a big deal, as Uncle Lamb is essentially the man who raised Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe) after her parents (she believed) died in a car crash.
In an exclusive clip that debuted at the panel, Claire’s parents, Julia (Hermione Corfield) and Henry (Jeremy Irvine), enjoy a holiday in the Scottish Highlands, discussing how they miss Claire and how Henry’s brother, a.k.a Uncle Lamb, will be taking good care of their daughter and likely teaching her to read hieroglyphics (Lamb is an archaeologist and historian).
In the books, Quintin Lambert Beauchamp raises the orphaned Claire along with his manservant Firouz, bringing Claire around the world with them as he conducted his research. He died during the Blitz when one of his lectures at the British Museum was bombed.

“Are we going to meet Uncle Lambert?” a fan asked during the Q&A section of the panel. “Yes,” Roberts replied. “That’s a great question with a one-word answer.”
We actually have met him before; Prentis Hancock portrayed Uncle Lamb in a flashback in the first season of Outlander. But, presumably, this would be a significantly younger version of the character.
Earlier in the panel, Roberts also hinted that fans may catch a glimpse of a much younger version of Claire. She’s only five years old when her parents disappear from her life (she thinks in a car accident; this show reveals that they survive and accidentally travel back in time).
“Maybe,” Roberts teased in response to a question about whether we’d meet a young Claire in the show.
“That’s about all you’re getting,” added co-showrunner Maril Davis, with a laugh, before Roberts stressed, “Maybe isn’t a no.”

“Fate and destiny are words we lean on in Outlander,” Davis previously teased to Entertainment Weekly. “In Blood of My Blood, we have the ability to show that Jamie and Claire aren’t the only couple who are destined to be together.”
