As One UI 8.5 leaks continue to surface, Samsung is nearing the completion of its One UI 8 rollout. The company has now officially released the Android 16-based update for the Galaxy M44, known as Jump 3 in South Korea. A broader rollout is expected in the coming days.
Galaxy M44 receives the One UI 8 update from Samsung
First spotted by @Mohammed_K_2010 on X, the Android 16 update for the Galaxy M44/ Jump 3 is rolling out with the firmware build version M446KKSU6EYJ3 (the build version may vary in other regions). It brings minor interface tweaks and optimizations, refining the One UI experience. You’ll notice smoother animations, better privacy controls, and subtle enhancements across system apps.
While there are no Galaxy AI features to look forward to, One UI 8 contains plenty of goodies for the M series handset. Users can check for the update by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Since this is a major OS release, the OTA size is pretty huge. Your phone needs a restart to complete the installation.
With this release, Samsung is now at the fag end of its One UI 8 rollout. The update was first released for the Galaxy S25 series in mid-September and has already made its way to dozens of other models, including some budget handsets. The company may update all remaining devices to One UI 8 by the end of this month.
This marks the Galaxy M44’s third major OS upgrade, having debuted with Android 13. Samsung may update it to Android 17 with One UI 9 next year. Ahead of that, the company could push One UI 8.5, which still runs Android 16 at its core. The upcoming update is expected to deliver additional user experience improvements for compatible devices. One UI 8.5 will debut with the Galaxy S26 series, which could go official in February 2026.
