Winnipeg Jets captain Adam Lowry will make his season debut Tuesday against the Los Angeles Kings after undergoing hip surgery in the off-season.

The 6-foot-5 winger became a full participant in practice last week and is now ready to join the reigning Presidents’ Trophy winners.

His return comes as the Jets lose a key piece with forward Morgan Barron ruled week-to-week by head coach Scott Arniel on Monday. Barron, 26, has three goals and six points in 12 games this season.

Lowry, 32, underwent hip surgery in May, resumed skating in August and targeted late October/early November as the target for a return to play.

He had 16 goals and 34 points in 73 games last year with the Jets and added four goals in 13 playoff games.

Drafted 67th overall by the Jets in 2011, Lowry has 121 goals and 273 points in 775 games and was named captain of the Jet prior to the 2023-24 campaign.

Winnipeg sits second in the Central Division with a 9-3-0 record and are one point behind the Colorado Avalanche.
