At halftime of “Monday Night Football,” the Arizona Cardinals lead the Dallas Cowboys by a score of 17-7.

Dallas actually started the game by quickly and efficiently moving the ball deep into Arizona territory, but then things started going wrong for the Cowboys. They had a dropped pass on third-and-goal and then gave up a sack on fourth-and-goal — coming away from that opening drive without any points.

That failure allowed Arizona to take control of the game for most of the first half.

The Cardinals repeatedly converted third-down opportunities throughout the first two quarters, going 7 of 9 in their efforts to extend drives. Marvin Harrison Jr. was the star for the Cards, racking up six catches for 80 yards and one of Arizona’s two touchdowns, on which he absolutely cooked DaRon Bland with a slant route near the goal line.

Really, the only hiccup for the Cardinals came when Pat O’Donnell had a punt blocked midway through the second quarter and the Cowboys fell on it in the end zone for a touchdown. Even after that, though, Arizona marched right down the field and got back into the end zone, with Jacoby Brissett scoring on a quarterback sneak from a yard out to extend the Cardinals’ lead back to double digits.

The Cards did leave the Cowboys enough time to put together a last-second drive to end the half, but Brandon Aubrey’s would-be record-tying 68-yard field goal attempt was pulled wide to the left and Arizona kept its 10-point lead.

Which of these two teams will find a way to get back in the win column? We’ll find out soon enough. In the meantime, keep it locked in to our live blog throughout the evening as we update you with stats, scores and highlights.
