Turner signed a four-year, $107 million contract with the Milwaukee Bucks in the offseason, moving to another Central Division squad after helping to carry the Pacers to a 2025 NBA Finals berth.
Averaging 9.8 points, 6.2 rebounds and 1.8 blocks so far this season, he’s a rare unicorn of a center, both stretching the floor and swatting shots at the rim.
Over the last three seasons, Turner is one of four players to average 1.5 3PM and 2.0 blocks, joining Brook Lopez, Chet Holmgren and Victor Wembanyama. In his 10-year career, only five centers have made more 3s, and none of them have more blocks.
The Bucks are +6.3 points with Turner on the floor so far this season — third-best on the team — and -1.0 with him off, which is second-worst behind Giannis Antetokounmpo.
In his absence, the Pacers have turned to Isaiah Jackson, Jay Huff and former Buck Tony Bradley.
Jackson, the starter, scored 10 points in the Pacers’ first win of the season Saturday against the Warriors, tallying a +18 mark, which was second on the team.
Who will win the battle in the middle as Myles returns to Indiana? Tune in tonight to find out!
In other action, we’ve also got Cooper Flagg and the Mavericks traveling to Houston to take on Kevin Durant and the Rockets.
Flagg and the Mavericks dropped one in Mexico City to the Pistons, 122-110, last time out. Cooper posted 16 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists, flashing his all-around game as he continues to adapt to playing the point. Veteran D’Angelo Russell scored 31 points in the loss.
The Rockets earned a wire-to-wire 128-101 win in Boston on Saturday, as Durant put up 26 points in three quarters.
“When we’re clicking on all cylinders like that, we’re tough to stop,” Durant said afterwards.
Will Houston take another step towards realizing their potential tonight? Watch this clash to find out.
