In a video shared to social media, the 2022 Academy Award winner can be seen seated on stage accompanied by her guitar player Tom Crouch, who strums the unmistakable intro to Johnny Mercer and Henry Mancini’s 1961 hit “Moon River.” Actress Audrey Hepburn sang the original vocals for the film Breakfast at Tiffany’s, but the song has been used in Sex and the City and even this summer on Love Island USA.
But it’s Eilish’s stunning version that has fans emotional and begging for more.
“I’d buy the album if she released her covers of the standards,” wrote one fan. Another fan echoed that sentiment, writing, “This is such an iconic song, and she gave it all the grace and beauty and charm it deserved.”
