WWE has reportedly parted ways with Ridge Holland early, terminating the star’s contract following comments Holland made on social media.
According to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp (via Fightful Select), Holland, real name Luke Menzies, had his deal terminated early. The reason why, according to Sapp, is that WWE viewed some of Holland’s latest social media posts as a breach.
Holland’s deal was originally set to run through mid-November. With it terminated now, Fightful notes he may not be paid for the remaining portion of his contract.
This week, Holland took to social media to call out WWE for the way they’ve handled his contract situation. Originally, Holland announced last month that WWE told him they would not be renewing his deal. This week, the star said that he was “totally f—ed” by the company, and that he felt “hung out to dry.”
“I never thought I’d not be able to pay my mortgage. I feel like I’ve just been hung out to dry after getting injured working for another company on behalf of WWE,” said Holland this week. “Add to that my contract not being renewed knowing that I wouldn’t be able to wrestle for 7 months. This is brutal. Yes they are taking care of the surgery and physical therapy but let’s be honest, that’s the bare minimum after what we sacrifice for the company. Plus the possibility of having to get my neck fused too. Talk about getting totally f—ed.”
Holland is currently dealing with multiple injuries, including issues with his foot and neck.
