Bryan Mbeumo’s role under Ruben Amorim in the 2025-26 campaign has caught the eye of one former Manchester United player for all of the right reasons.
The 26-year-old French-born attacking forward has been arguably Manchester United’s best performer in the opening months of the Premier League season.

Signed from Brentford in the summer, Bryan Mbeumo has started in all 10 of United’s Premier League matches and has scored four times and picked up an assist.
Mbeumo also found the back of the net in United’s shock penalty shootout defeat to Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup clash at Blundell Park back in August.
The Cameroon international has made an instant impact at Old Trafford and Mbeumo has quickly become a United fan favourite since his arrival at the club.

Manchester United pursued Bryan Mbeumo over the summer and the Red Devils saw Brentford reject two bids before a third approach successfully landed the player.
The Red Devils paid an initial fee of £65m, including a further £6m in add-ons, for the former Brentford ace and Mbeumo officially became a United player in July.

Mbeumo has become a key player in the right-sided No 10 role in Ruben Amorim’s tactical system for United and has been a real creative spark in the attacking threat.
Phil Jones has now insisted that the ex-Bees forward is “undoubted” based on his qualities alone, with the former United defender breaking down what he has seen.
“Yeah, he’s fitted in really, really nicely in the team,” he said on United’s ‘Inside Carrington’ podcast.
“I think his qualities are undoubted. He’s got so much ability, driving with the ball, creating space for other players to occupy.”
“Technically very good. His assists, his goals, he’s quick, he’s sharp. So, he’s been a terrific addition to the squad, to the team.”
Phil Jones is impressed by two feats that Bryan Mbeumo has already pulled off at Man Utd
Bryan Mbeumo’s run of form has seen the Cameroon winger scoop United’s Player of the Month award for the second time in October, having won it in August as well.
The former Troyes player also captured the Premier League’s Player of the Month prize last month, with Phil Jones praising Mbeumo for his strong start to the season.
“Yeah, and then he’s won two awards already,” Jones continued.
“So, he’s already got his Man United career up and running very early doors. So, it’s nice to see.”
United could be left without Mbeumo’s influence in the coming months if he is called up for international duty with Cameroon for the Africa Cup of Nations.
