Huawei is rolling out a new global update for the Watch Fit 3. Software version 5.0.0.28 (C00M05), a 20.68 MB file, brings one new feature to this smartwatch, as well as two optimizations.
Firmware version 5.0.0.28, reported by users on Reddit, includes a new way for users to quickly access a chosen workout: by pressing the Down button. The wording in the change log, “selected workout mode”, suggests that users will be able to choose the workout of their choice for this trigger in the device’s settings. In China, double-pressing the Down button will now open the payment app.
Huawei also notes that this Watch Fit 3 update enhances the “display” of some screens, though it does not provide further details. The final improvement is for system stability, which is said to have been optimized in a few scenarios. Again, the company does not share more information to explain how users will benefit from this change.
The software version 5.0.0.28 update for the Huawei Watch Fit 3 (curr. €99 at Amazon DE) appears to be arriving in phases. When it is available in your region, you will be able to trigger the installation via the Huawei Health smartphone app.
