Dutch progressive metalcore veterans Textures have announced their long-awaited return with a new album titled Genotype, due out January 23rd via Kscope. The release marks the band’s first since reuniting in 2023, and their first new full-length since 2016’s Phenotype.
Following the June debut of lead single “Closer To The Unknown,” Textures have unveiled the album’s second offering, “At The Edge Of Winter,” featuring guest vocals from Charlotte Wessels (ex-Delain). The accompanying video was directed by the band’s bassist Remko Tielemans.
Genotype was self-produced and mixed by Forrester Savell (Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus), serving as the conceptual and sonic counterpart to Phenotype.
