Bristol Motor Speedway will be the first track to see the new rules package via a test session next week

For 2026, a new package is coming to short tracks.

After years, of running low horsepower on the tracks under 1-mile, NASCAR is finally increasing the power to 750hp. And, it’s going to be on track next week.

On Wednesday and Thursday, teams are heading to Bristol Motor Speedway for a tire test. The cars will be fitted with 750hp engines for the test.

“Just like that, we’re on track again,” RFK Racing shared in a social media post.

They confirmed, “We’re taking the RFK TeK Alliance car to Bristol for the tire test next Wednesday and Thursday. Which includes the new 750hp package for 2026.
