It was another fantastic day of golf at Chinook Cove Golf & RV. It was August 16, 2025 with a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start. There were 18 teams from Barriere to Kamloops, the Interior and Lower Mainland. The weather was amazing and the golf, well…. it was mostly amazing! There was fun had by all with a couple close calls at the hole in one on number 4. After a beautiful day of golf the players went to the Barriere Curling Club for dinner, silent auction and prizes for all.
The most important thing was the great comradery and generous nature of our sponsors and players who raised more than $9,000 for our community. Our team at the BES Golf Tournament would like to provide 2 bursaries for $500 for the 2026 grads and $8,000 to youth programs in the North Thompson Valley. We will be taking applications over the next three weeks and will evaluate the requests for funding in early December. The information will also be shared on Social media to share with those in need.
