Players competed in ankle-deep snow Sunday in Ottawa for the Canadian Premier League soccer championship game.

Several snow-clearing delays were necessary, resulting in a four-hour period to finish the game won by the home Atlético Ottawa over Cavalry FC of Calgary at TD Place.

Soccer is ordinarily played on natural or artificial turf, but most of the game was played on snow as blizzard-like conditions swept across Ontario. Even players got into the snow-clearing efforts during breaks in play.
