Joaquin Niemann takes a commanding six-shot lead into today’s final round of LIV Golf UK.

Niemann, 26, fired a stunning 8-under 63 on Saturday to put one hand on the trophy with 18 holes to play at JCB Golf & Country Club.

The Chilean starts the final round at 14-under par and six shots ahead of two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson.

Niemann is already a record six-time winner on LIV Golf and he now looks assured of making it seven wins.

The Torque GC captain is also rapidly closing in on a first LIV Golf Individual Championship.

Niemann’s team lead by three shots over Jon Rahm’s defending champions Legion XIII in the LIV Golf UK team event.

Pre-tournament favourites Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton are well out of contention starting the final round.

DeChambeau starts Sunday nine shots off the pace, with Rahm and Hatton both 10 back.

Here’s how we stand before the final round:

The final round of LIV Golf UK gets underway a 1.05pm local time.

Niemann incredibly sacked both his caddie and coach last weekend.

That was after he missed his second straight cut in the majors at The Open at Royal Portrush.

Despite Niemann’s incredible performances on LIV Golf, he has only registered one top-10 finish in 26 major appearances.

That has frustrated him a lot.

Niemann spoke openly about a lack of confidence after The Open and his decision to fire his caddie and coach when speaking to reporters after the second round of LIV Golf UK.

He’s got his good friend Diego Salinas on the bag this week having previously worked with Gary Matthews since the 2020 US Open.
