What if I told you there is a glitch in the NFL matrix?

An error in the system that has caused Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and Patrick Mahomes to be replaced by Drake Maye, Matthew Stafford, and Jonathan Taylor as the top choices to win NFL regular season MVP at FanDuel.

Do you believe in coincidences?

How else could you explain identical final scores on Thursday Night Football and Monday Night Football for the first time in NFL history?

The Denver Broncos opened Week 10 with an ugly 10-7 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday night.

Four nights later, the Philadelphia Eagles wrapped up the week with a 10-7 win over the Geen Bay Packers on Monday night.

How else could you explain the results in the Sunday 4 PM ET window?

The Detroit Lions beat the Washington Commanders 44-22.

The Seattle Seahawks beat the Arizona Cardinals 44-22.

The Los Angeles Rams beat the San Francisco 49ers 42-20 before a gravity-defying touchdown by George Kittle with three minutes remaining resulted in a 42-26 final score.

Three games, three blowouts, three nearly identical scores.

Stafford’s old team has won and covered the spread following a loss 13 times in a row – the longest such streak in the Super Bowl era.

Stafford’s current team has covered the spread in eight straight games as a road favourite dating back to last season, including a 4-0 ATS start this season.

Elsewhere, the Carolina Panthers lost to the New Orleans Saints to fall to 0-11 straight up in their last 11 games as a betting favourite – the longest streak in the Super Bowl era.

The Cleveland Browns lost to the New York Jets to fall to 0-10 against the spread in their previous 10 road games.

Minus a late 42-yard catch and run by Breece Hall, Jets quarterback Justin Fields would have finished with zero net passing yards in a 27-20 win.

You can’t make this up.

Couldn’t think of a better way to finish off Week 10 in the NFL 🏈🤝

Fortunately, we managed to wrap up Week 10 on a high note by going 2-0 with the FanDuel Best Bets for Monday Night Football in this column.

This morning, we’ll turn the page to Week 11, wondering what surprises the NFL has in store for us next.

Drake Maye and Matthew Stafford are co-favourites to win AP NFL Regular Season MVP this morning 🏆

Jonathan Taylor is an obvious AP NFL Offensive Player of the Year favourite and the third choice to win MVP 🔥

Sam Darnold is now the sixth choice. 👀 pic.twitter.com/BQt8Da9RsO

Will the 23-year-old Maye continue to defy the odds while leading the New England Patriots to another win against the Jets on Thursday Night Football?

Will the 37-year-old Stafford continue to turn back the clock and put up record numbers when the Rams clash with the Seahawks in an NFC West showdown with massive implications?

Meanwhile, the stage is set for the 112th Grey Cup in this Sunday, with another epic streak on the line.

Montreal Alouettes quarterback Davis Alexander is a perfect 13-0 as a CFL starter, including playoffs.

Can Alexander lead the Alouettes to an upset win over the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the biggest game of his career?

Alexander admitted after the CFL Eastern Final that he isn’t 100 per cent heading into the Grey Cup, which forced the FanDuel traders to adjust their odds for Sunday’s finale.

We’ll dive into that line move in a minute.

First, I’ll take a moment to acknowledge the privilege to be able to cover sports for TSN on this day.

The stories my grandfather told me are etched in my mind, and it’s his legacy that I remember this morning.

For those that have served, thank you.

We will never forget your courage and sacrifice.

Alexander Injury Forces FanDuel Line Move For 112th Grey Cup

Davis Alexander is going to play in the 112th Grey Cup.

The problem is that he is not going to be 100 per cent.

On Monday, Alexander told reporters that he had an MRI following Saturday’s win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the Eastern Final.

Davis Alexander said he had an MRI after the East final, didn’t specify what the scan said about his hamstring, but both he and Jason Maas insist he will start Sunday. Alexander admitted he is not 100% and he will likely need 4-5 rehab treatments a day. @TSN_Sports @CFLonTSN pic.twitter.com/7zSAOBbcka

While the injury won’t prevent him from playing on Sunday, it could limit him after what he promised will be an intense week of rehab and preparation.

Alexander revealed he expects to go through four to five rehab treatments per day leading up to the Grey Cup.

He also admitted that he won’t know what it will feel like to play with the injury, which creates an even bigger question mark about his status for Sunday’s game.

The Riders opened as a 1.5-point favourite at FanDuel.

Considering the injury news, FanDuel moved the spread for the Grey Cup to Saskatchewan -3.5.

Anybody who believes Alexander can overcome the injury on Sunday and lead Montreal to a victory can find the Alouettes at +142 to win outright at FanDuel.

On the flip side, I don’t think we’ll see the Riders favoured by less than a field goal until Alexander proves that he is good to go on the field this weekend.

Meanwhile, the injury is one more reason why the 39-year-old Trevor Harris must feel confident about his chances of finishing a remarkable year on a high note.

The Riders entered the playoffs as an obvious Grey Cup favourite at FanDuel.

Now they’re one win away from being a championship home to Saskatchewan.

Alexander has five days to rest, recover, and rehab his hamstring ahead of the biggest game of his career.

The 27-year-old Alexander has never lost a CFL start.

Montreal went 3-8 in games that he didn’t start.

Hopefully, Alexander will be good to go on Sunday.

The Alouettes’ chances to win the 112th Grey Cup could depend on it.
