According to Variety, the 42-year-old is pursuing a master’s degree in social work. Mack said it’s all in an effort to rebuild her shattered life. She pleaded guilty to racketeering and racketeering conspiracy for her involvement in Nxivm.

She was sentenced to three years in prison in 2021 but served just 21 months. Mack announced her MSW plan as part of a CBC True Crime podcast series titled Allison After Nxivm.

“Oh, my God, my poor brother behind me, having to hear this about his sister,” she sobbed when discussing her June 2021 sentencing. “My poor mom! I’m so sorry, you guys. I can take it, but like f***, you guys, I’m so sorry.

“I don’t see myself as innocent, and they were.”

Girl next door to downfall

The series chronicles her rise in Hollywood as the quintessential girl next door, to her downfall as Ghislaine Maxwell to Raniere’s Jeffrey Epstein. It premiered on Monday and explores whether Mack “is a victim or someone who victimized others.”

Her career was on a downward trajectory when she joined Nxivm in 2006. Like the Church of Scientology before it, Nxivm coveted celebrities and socialites for its membership.

Mack and the Bronfman sisters, among others, including two Battlestar Galactica actresses, were spellbound by Raniere. His promise was empowerment and self-fulfillment.

But really, it was a sexually charged Ponzi scheme.

Raniere formed a secret sort of BDSM inner circle where female members were infamously branded with his initials. The sex slaves were starved and blackmailed with nude or compromising photos or their deepest personal secrets.

In addition, the women were coerced into sex with Raniere, Mack or one of the other slave masters. Superman’s pal was accused of recruiting, overseeing and brainwashing the women.

“I think that I capitalized on the things I had,” she said on the podcast, citing her celeb status. “And so the success I had as an actor, I think I did capitalize on that, yeah.”

She added: “And it was a power tool that I had to get people to do what I wanted. I think that I was very effective in moving Keith’s vision forward.”

Mack said sorry to victims

At her sentencing, Mack apologized to the victims she recruited, saying it was “the biggest mistake and greatest regret of my life. I am sorry to those of you that I brought into NXIVM. I am sorry I ever exposed you to the nefarious and emotionally abusive schemes of a twisted man.

“I am sorry that I encouraged you to use your resources to participate in something that was ultimately so ugly.”

She reportedly married a man known only as “Frank.” They met at a Los Angeles dog park.

Raniere is serving 120 years in prison following his 2020 sentencing for sex trafficking, attempted sex trafficking, sex trafficking conspiracy, forced labour conspiracy, racketeering, racketeering conspiracy, and wire fraud conspiracy charges.
