Conservation authorities are investigating after a female moose was shot and left to rot along a forestry road in northern Ontario
The Ministry of Natural Resources is seeking information from the public following the illegal killing and abandonment of a cow moose north of Foleyet.
Conservation officers with the Ministry of Natural Resources are asking for the public’s help in identifying those responsible for killing and abandoning a cow moose on a forestry road known as Trans 2 Road in Wadsworth Township.
On November 5, officers discovered the moose approximately 60 metres off Trans 2 Road near kilometre marker 14. Investigators believe the animal was killed sometime between October 18 and October 25.
“This is a serious offence, and the ministry is committed to holding those responsible accountable,” says a MNR release.Â
