The story takes the audience on an emotional journey as Gavin and his half-sister Abbi (Deschanel) navigate challenging family dynamics and their complicated relationships with the past.
Lilly Wachowski (The Matrix, Cloud Atlas) executive produces, as well as Julie Lebedev and Eddie Vaisman for Sight Unseen, Carrie Holt De Lama, alongside Zachary Spicer, Chris Cafero for Five Sticks Productions, and Scott Goldstein for Streeterville Productions. Colin Trevorrow is producing through his Metronome banner, which most recently released the comedy Deep Cover. Rebecca Linfoot will oversee on behalf of Metronome.
Holmes is best known for A24/Amazon’s Overcompensating from Benito Skinner, Paul Feig’s Fox comedy Welcome to Flatch, and a recurring role on season 4 of the multiple Emmy Award-winning HBO Max series Hacks. They can also be seen in Feig’s features Jackpot! and Another Simple Favor. On the development side, Holmes previously sold a pilot Stuck with co-creator Caleb Hearon to Hulu. Holmes is repped by Artists First, CAA and Felker Toczek Suddleson.
