Turkish media mogul Acun Ilicali, who built an entertainment franchise around taking global reality shows and adapting them for a local audience, is preparing to test investor appetite for his prime-time empire.
TV8 TV Yayincilik AS, the broadcaster behind Turkish versions of Survivor, MasterChef and some of the country’s highest-grossing talent shows, has applied to the Capital Markets Board for an initial public offering. It plans to sell 35 million nominal shares, equal to about 20.5% of its equity, according to its IPO prospectusBloomberg Terminal. Local brokerage Info Yatirim AS is managing the offering.
