Toronto police have arrested a woman in connection with two suspected hate-motivated harassment incidents involving youth on TTC buses in North York earlier this year.

Police say the first incident happened on Sept. 15, after officers received a call for harassment in the Bathurst Street and Sheppard Avenue West area.

Investigators allege three youth were riding a TTC bus when a woman engaged with them and made harassing comments. The suspect was described as having blonde hair and wearing a beanie hat.

In addition, a second incident was reported on Oct. 31, also near Bathurst and Sheppard.

Officials say a youth was targeted after the same woman boarded a bus, engaged the victim, and made harassing comments before exiting at Bathurst Street and Laurelcrest Avenue.

However, in that case, the suspect was described as having black hair and wearing a black jacket, red sweater, and beanie hat. Police later determined the same person was responsible for both occurrences and released an image of the accused.
