TNA Wrestling is making moves—big ones. With just weeks left before 2025 kicks off, the promotion is reportedly closing in on a $10 million media rights deal to take its weekly show live again, and now there’s a new player at the table: AMC.
According to The Takedown on SI, a new TV suitor with no WWE ties is pursuing TNA, and AMC has emerged as a legit landing spot.
“The Takedown on SI has learned through TV industry sources that another network with no current WWE ties has been pursuing TNA’s media rights, with them indicating that AMC has emerged as a potential landing spot.”
AMC may not be known for wrestling, but it’s got reach. The network built its name on massive scripted hits like Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, and Mad Men. And while AMC has never aired pro wrestling, the report points out that this partnership could put TNA in front of a much bigger audience.
Back in 2014, there were even rumors that AMC was looking to buy WWE and merge with the sports entertainment juggernaut—but that talk fizzled out. This time, the interest is real, and TNA’s trying to capitalize.
Dave Meltzer previously named A&E and The CW as possible broadcast options for TNA, but both come with WWE baggage. WWE has working relationships with both networks, so they’d have a say in any deal made.
“Both A&E and The CW have been rumored as potential new broadcast partners for TNA. Because of the partnership between the two companies, WWE would have been involved in talks with either network.”
There’s also talk of a possible time slot change for TNA’s weekly show. Strategically, Wednesday was floated as a target night—directly opposite AEW Dynamite. That’s a bold move, but one that would put TNA right back in the fight.
Meltzer also suggested that A&E could move TNA to Sunday nights to serve as a lead-in for WWE’s reality series LFG, which reportedly struggled with ratings earlier this year.
“Sunday could work for A&E, since the network might use TNA as a lead-in for WWE’s reality show LFG, which was struggling with low ratings earlier this year.”
If AMC locks this deal, it would shake up the wrestling TV landscape going into 2025. Whether it ends up with AMC, A&E, or The CW, one thing’s clear—TNA is ready to level up and hit a bigger platform than it’s had in years.
