Chevrolet and Cadillac are set to debut refreshed race car body styles for the 2026 motorsport season, marking a significant evolution in their respective NASCAR and IMSA programs.

For NASCAR, Chevrolet will continue to field the Camaro ZL1 in the Cup Series, but with notable design enhancements. The updated body incorporates elements from the recently released Camaro ZL1 Carbon Performance Package, including a larger hood power dome, a revised front grille, and more pronounced rocker panels. These changes mirror the carbon-fiber components found in the road-going version of the Camaro ZL1, aligning the race car more closely with its production counterpart. The updated Camaro will make its competitive debut at the season-opening Cook Out Clash exhibition at Bowman Gray Stadium on February 1, 2026.

The redesign comes amid Chevrolet’s transition away from the Camaro production line, which ended with the 2024 model year. While the Camaro nameplate is being phased out, Chevrolet remains committed to NASCAR, with the updated ZL1 serving as a bridge between past and future models.

Meanwhile, Cadillac is preparing to introduce a new iteration of its V-Series.R prototype for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The 2026 version will feature aerodynamic refinements and updated styling cues that reflect Cadillac’s evolving design language. These changes aim to enhance performance while maintaining the brand’s signature luxury aesthetic. The V-Series.R has been a competitive force in IMSA’s GTP class, and the upcoming updates are expected to bolster Cadillac’s pursuit of endurance racing dominance.
