Star point guard Ja Morant will be out and re-evaluated after approximately two weeks due to a Grade 1 right calf strain, the team announced on Monday.
Morant suffered the injury Saturday in a loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
It will mark his third absence of the season after an ankle injury and a one-game suspension for conduct detrimental to the team sidelined him previously.
The two-time all-star has played in 12 games this season, averaging 17.9 points — a mark that would be his lowest since his rookie campaign — to go with 7.6 assists and 3.5 rebounds per contest.
Memphis is mired in a four-game losing streak and sits 12th in the Western Conference at 4-10.
The Grizzlies return to action Tuesday on the road against the San Antonio Spurs.
