Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) goes off TONIGHT (Sat., Nov. 15, 2025) with UFC 322 live from inside Madison Square Garden in New York, N.Y., streaming LIVE on ESPN+ PPV. The main event is Jack Della Maddalena vs. Islam Makhachev for UFC’s Welterweight title.

This main event has Makhachev looking to join the exclusive “champ-champ” club. And he’s already thinking about who he’ll defend his Welterweight title against, should he win it from Della Maddalena tonight. Makachev’s ideal No. 1 contender has left many scratching their heads.

Nevertheless, there’s someone else looking to be a two weight champion tonight, too! UFC 322’s co-main event is Valentina Shevchenko vs. Zhang Weili for Shevchenko’s UFC Flyweight title. Zhang cleared out her Strawweight division before coming up and meets a women who pretty much cleared out her division, too.

Rounding out the unusually stacked pay-per-view (PPV) main card is Sean Brady vs. Michael Morales, Leon Edwards vs. Carlos Prates and Beneil Dariush vs. Benoit Saint Denis. Those first two fights could have huge implications regarding who actually gets the next shot at Welterweight gold.

UFC 322’s late “Prelims” are headlined by Bo Nickal vs. Rodolfo Vieira. Nickal is looking to erase memories of his horror show against Reinier de Ridder and prove he’s cut out for a spot at UFC White House.

Also on the “Prelims” are Roman Kopylov vs. Gregory Rodrigues, Erin Blanchfield vs. Tracy Cortez, Malcolm Wellmaker vs. Cody Haddon and Kyle Daukaus vs. Gerald Meerschaert.

The early “Prelims” include Pat Sabatini vs. Chepe Mariscal, Angela Hill vs. Fatima Kline, Baisangur Susurkaev vs. Eric McConico and Viacheslav Borshchev vs. Matheus Camilo.

UFC 322 Start Date and Time

UFC 322’s early “Prelims” start at 6 p.m. ET and air on ESPN+/Disney+/FX. That four fight card is followed by the late “Prelims”, which get underway at 8 p.m. ET, on ESPNNEWS/ESPN+/Disney+/FX.

That all sets the table for the UFC 322 PPV main card. That event starts at 10 p.m. ET. and is available on ESPN+ PPV.

We will have live play-by-play, instant results, highlights and updates right here from 6 p.m. ET onwards.

UFC 322 PLAY-BY-PLAY UPDATES

Total domination was the order of the day when it came to our two title fights. In the main event it was the challenger and in the co-main it was the champiom.

To crown off UFC 322 Islam Makhachev smothered Jack Della Maddalena for most of each round and never looked threatened, in any way. Della Maddalena looked broken from early in the fight and grimaced on the ground repeatedly. I think he might have suffered a blown ACL or a leg fracture early in the fight. Obviously, we’ll have to wait and see on that. Either way, few can deny that Islam Makhachev is the best, pound for pound, fighter in this sport right now. That doesn’t mean he’s terribly exciting to watch, though… The dominance meant this fight ended up feeling like a dud. That’s no one’s fault, but just a reminder of what our expectations should be when wrestlers rule the world.

In the co-main Valentina Shevchenko used her wrestling to dominate Zhang Weili. Though, she also stung her on the feet plenty. This was actually a more entertaining fight than the main event. And Shevchenko looked a lot more lively and dangerous than she has done in some of her grapple heavy unanimous decisions. Zhang, unfortunately, seemed just too small to compete and I fully expect her to go down to fight Mackenzie Dern as soon as she is able.

Before those five-rounders we were treated to some top tier action. Michael Morales fully announced himself as a legit contender with a blitzing combo victory over Sean Brady. And before that Carlos Prates laid out Leon Edwards with a straight punch from hell. Those two now have a very good shot at challenging Makhachev for his new belt.

The PPV started with Benoit Saint Denis clubbing Beneil Dariush behind the ear for a 16 second win.

The pick of the “Prelims” action was Bro Cop Bo Nickal obliterating Rodolfo Vieira with a head kick. Erin Blanchfield also scored a stoppage on the “Prelims”. She submitted Tracy Cortez to give herself a great shot at fighting Shevchenko next.

The other stoppages on the night were Chris Daukaus likely retiring Gerald Meerschaert with a club-and-sub and Baisangur Susurkaev sparing his blushes with a late KO over Eric McConico.

Also on the card, Ethyn Ewing (who took this fight on two days notice) looked like a very interesting prospect by picking apart the highly favored Malcolm Wellmaker. Fatima Kline also got a good win, over Angela Hill, to show she might be a future contender at Strawweight.

Islam Makhachev def. Jack Della Maddalena by unanimous decision (50-45, 50-45, 50-45)

Della Maddalena’s corner are trying, but their man looks beat and like he doesn’t want to be there. I think he might have a broken leg. Della Maddalena comes forwards and throws, but Makhachev ducks under and gets the takedown. Makhachev goes for the kimura. Della Maddalena shakes it off. Makhachev goes for the D’arce later, but Della Maddalena gets out of it. He’s grimacing a lot on the ground, he has the whole fight. He must be injured under there.

50-45 Makhachev… total domination part 2.

Makhachev lands more leg kicks. Della Maddalena is against tentative to engage on the feet. And then, two minutes in, Makhachev shoots and gets his takedown. Della Maddalena tries to roll and Makhachev takes his back. Makhachev goes for a kimura with thirty seconds left.

Makhachev lands a hard low kick, these are taking a toll. Della Maddalena manages to land a combo in the clinch, that’s some of his best work of the fight. Makhachev responds with yet another takedown, though. More of Makhachev’s ground and pound is getting through in this round.

Della Maddalena lands a hard right hook as Makhachev initiates a clinch. Makhachev manages to get Della Maddalena down against the fence. Makhachev tries to land ground and pound, but Della Maddalena does well to limit the damage. Della Maddalena is not doing well at getting up, though Makhachev lands some elbows and Della Maddelana manages to get up just before the round ends.

Makhachev lands two leg kicks, but then has to back track as Della Maddalena comes forwards throwing a combo. Makhachev gets a single leg takedown in the middle of the cage. Della Maddalena scrambles and Makhachev lands on his back. Della Maddalena rolls over to give Makhachev top control. Makhachev lands some ground and pound, but Della Maddalena covers up well. Valentina Shevchenko def. Zhang Weili by unanimous decision (50-45, 50-45, 50-45)

Zhang’s corner tells her to get a takedown and try and get Shevchenko’s back. Shevchenko is having none of that. She squashes the attempts and ends up on top, again. Shevchenko plays out the clock on top, landing ground and pound and totally demoralizing Zhang.

50-45 Shevchenko… total domination.

Shevchenko hurts Zhang to the body again, this time with a kick. Zhang is getting so beat up to the body that she doesn’t want to close distance. She needs to, if she wants to stand any chance of winning this fight. Shevchenko catches a kick and takes Zhang down in the middle of the cage.

Shevchenko lands a few counters as Zhang keeps trying to close range. Zhang lands a good body kick, but Shevchenko uses that to grab a hold of her. Zhang is able to break away and land an elbow as she goes. Shevchenko hurts Zhang with a knee to the body. Zhang backs up, but Shevchenko doesn’t chase. Shevchenko gets another bodylock takedown.

Shevchenko gets a bodylock and turns that into an early takedown. She passes to side control. Shevchenko secures a crucifix position, but Zhang fights out of it. Zhang gets back to full guard. Shevchenko passes to half guard. She lands a little ground and pound, but she’s not done much damage.

Zhang lands a hard right hand down the middle. Shevchenko responds with a front kick to the body. Zhang tries to blitz Shevchenko, but Shevchenko clinches her up, lands a big knee to the body and gets the takedown. Zhang gets to her feet. Zhang blitzes forwards again and this time Shevchenko lands a spinning elbow. Off the ensuing clinch, Shevhcenko gets a takedown and lands in side control.

Really trying to sell those shades.

Morales chases Brady with a combo, but Brady slides out of range. Brady comes forwards and Morales clips him with an overhand right. Brady is wobbled and Morales tries to pounce on him. Brady manages to avoid taking another big shot and seems to regain his composure. Morales lands a big combo and drops Brady! Wow, Morales is THE REAL DEAL!!!

Pressure is on these Welterweights after what Carlos Prates just did.

Carlos Prates def. Leon Edwards by KO (punch), round 2 (1:28)

Prates steps in and lands a huge straight left and it floors Edwards! It’s over! The punch goes through the guard, right onto the chin, and it takes Edwards off his feet.

Prates focuses on leg kicks early. Edwards shoots a double leg and puts Prates on the fence. Edwards lands a foot stomp and some knees. Prates chats it up asking why they aren’t striking. Keith Petersen steps in and helps Prates out. Prates lands a knee to the body. Edwards lands an overhand and uses it to disguise a takedown. He gets Prates down and tries to take the back. He takes the backpack position as Prates gets up. Edwards drags Prates down to the ground and slaps on a rear naked choke attempt as time runs out.

Lots of boos for Edwards on the walk out.
