The 2025 NFL season is more than halfway over, which has given fans plenty of time to evaluate rookies.
ESPN’s Mel Kiper and Field Yates released their 2025 NFL redraft on Wednesday. Here’s a look at the analyst’s top fives.
Mel Kiper’s 2025 NFL Re-Draft
Field Yates’ 2025 NFL Re-Draft
Kiper and Yates’ top five isn’t too far from how things actually went, though Jaxson Dart was a big riser for both. That’s not that surprising considering the season Dart has had. The Rookie of the Year candidate has thrown for 1,417 yards, 10 touchdowns and three interceptions this season, adding 317 rushing yards and seven scores on the ground.
Travis Hunter remained at No. 2 for both, even though his rookie campaign hasn’t gone the way he would’ve liked. Hunter recorded 298 receiving yards and a touchdown on offense and 15 tackles and three passes defended on defense before undergoing season-ending surgery on his knee after seven games.
While he’s left some to be desired, Hunter showed flashes of potential early on.
One notable omission from both Kiper and Yates’ top 10 is Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty, who went sixth overall in the actual draft. Jeanty has recorded 554 yards and four touchdowns, which are decent numbers considering he’s playing in a lackluster Raiders offense.
