The Belleville Senators could not have done much better in their write-up for a perfect sellout for their first ever school-day game.
Jackson Parsons made 25 saves for his first professional shutout, as the Sens shut out the Toronto Marlies 3-0.
Head Coach David Bell tells Quinte News the atmosphere made a difference.

“Highest pitch I’ve heard it at, that’s for sure. The guys commented on the bench and even the coaches about that real energy that you can feed off of. 10:30’s a different time and if it was quiet and empty it would have been a tough game and I think they truly fed off of that energy. It’s good.”
Vice President of Business Operations John Mathers says it was a perfect script for their first ever school-day game.

“Ten out of ten. You want a goal or a fight in the first ten minutes and the fact that we scored a goal in the first ten minutes and then shut them out, I’ll take it every time.”
Jackson Parsons has stopped 89 of 91 shots faced so far in the AHL, good for a 0.67 GAA and a 978 save percentage.
He was humble about taking the credit for the win.
“The boys battled so hard today. It was very noticeable and we have been for these past few games. Especially going down the stretch, guys blocking shots, Bongo (Bongiovanni) had two blocked shots in a shift, Janik’s blocking a million shots a game it feels like. I really apreciate it.”
Belleville is off until Friday night when they travel to Laval to meet the Rocket.
