LIV Golf’s two newest signings have been confirmed after the conclusion of the Asian Tour’s International Series, with Scott Vincent and Yosuke Asaji earning coveted spots on the breakaway league.

The International Series came to an end in Saudi Arabia on Saturday, with LIV talent Josele Ballester winning the Saudi International at Riyadh Golf Club. Vincent and Asaji were also celebrating at the end of play, finishing as the top two players in the season-long order of merit who were already members of LIV Golf.

Vincent and Asaji will be in the field for LIV’s 2026 season opener, which will also be held at Riyadh Golf Club in February. They join the league at a time of major change, including a surge in prize money.

Zimbabwe’s Vincent, who was a founding member of LIV and played for the Iron Heads for three seasons before being relegated in 2024, has sealed an immediate return to the league.

The 33-year-old enjoyed his best season in 2023, securing two top-five finishes en route to a 22nd-place finish in the Individual Championship standings.

He was booted out of the league last year after accruing just 6.18 points, but he has responded impressively on the International Series.

Vincent won in Morocco in July on his way to a second-place finish in the order of merit, behind Ballester. Vincent finished in a share of 42nd place in Riyadh, enough to cement his return to LIV.

Vincent admitted he was “very nervous” heading into Saturday’s final round, and he added: “I woke up at about 4:30 a.m., which was two hours before I was hoping to. Then you start playing all the different scenarios in your head, which was not what I was hoping for.

“I wanted to come out here and just play freely and give it my best, but yeah, I was nervous. Obviously, not knowing and not trying to look at leaderboards, you don’t know how much of a cushion you have. You don’t want to be the guy who’s ahead and loses, all those things.

“Once I kind of got moving and got into my routine and putting and range work, I definitely did settle down. I just didn’t play great today, but obviously the season was enough.”

Asaji took third place in the order of merit standings and will make his LIV Golf debut next season. The 32-year-old, who has spent much of his career on the Asian Tour and Japan Golf Tour, failed to make the cut in Riyadh, but his victory in Singapore earlier this month was enough to secure a spot on the LIV roster.

“I was so happy with my wife and my caddie, we were together. We can get in the LIV event. I was so happy,” he said of the moment he learned his promotion to LIV had been confirmed.

Miguel Tabuena of the Philippines was the unlucky man to finish on the bubble, falling just short despite winning on home soil in October. LIV Golf reserve player Ollie Schniederjans also came close to earning a full-time spot on LIV, but he finished in seventh spot in the rankings.
