Cities and towns across B.C. are trying to help the country meet an ambitious conservation goal. Canada has a target of protecting 30 per cent of its lands and waters by 2030, to protect biodiversity and slow the pace of climate change. While some municipalities are taking part by setting aside new land for conservation, Chad Pawson reports on whether it’s actually adding up.
