A major change will take place at AM Racing ahead of the 2026 O’Reilly Auto Parts Series season as the team takes on new ownership.
According to a Monday announcement, Sigma Performance Services Racing has acquired AM Racing. The organization will continue to compete in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series while also taking on the ARCA Menards Series and Late Model competition.
As part of the move, Sigma Performance Services Racing will have the continued full support of Ford Racing. The team will work with the OEM partner’s technical resources while trying to serve as a pipeline between the Late Model ranks and the national NASCAR series.
This move is effective immediately, providing ample time for the team to prepare for the 2026 season, which includes the ARCA Menards Series practice sessions at Daytona International Speedway in January.
“Bringing AM Racing into the SPS Racing family is about building on momentum and unlocking our next level potential,” said Joe Farre, owner of Sigma Performance Services Racing.
“With Ford Racing behind us, we’re investing in people, data and performance to set us up to contend right away in 2026. We’re excited for what’s ahead.”
The team did not provide any details about the drivers, car numbers, or sponsors who will support it moving forward into 2026. Former AM Racing driver Harrison Burton will not return as he heads to Sam Hunt Racing and Toyota Gazoo Racing North America.
Farre’s team has competed in the ARCA Menards Series since the 2024 season while working with multiple drivers. The list includes Grant Enfinger, Mason Mitchell, Farre, Connor Mosack, Tyler Reif, Spencer Gallagher, and Katherine Legge.
Sigma Performance Services Racing posted 10 top-10 finishes and six top-fives in 18 starts. Reif led the way with a runner-up finish at Watkins Glen International last season.
AM Racing first took on the national series ranks while competing in the Craftsman Truck Series. The team moved to what was the Xfinity Series in 2023 with Breff Moffitt leading the way.
The team then returned to the series in 2024, initially with Hailie Deegan as the driver. However, a mutual parting of ways led to several drivers controlling the AM Racing entry, a list that included Joey Logano.
Last season served as the best season of the young team’s run in the secondary NASCAR series. Burton started every race and guided the team to the playoffs on points.
“AM Racing has always been about work ethic, integrity and giving racers a real shot to grow — and SPS Racing shares that DNA,” said Wade Moore, president and managing partner of AM Racing.
“This transition ensures our mission continues — with renewed strength, expanded resources and a clear drive to win.”
