NASCAR fans have a new way to relive Dale Earnhardt’s life and career. They can order a new coffee table book focused on The Intimidator.
The Daytona Beach News-Journal presents this new coffee table book, “EARNHARDT! The Intimidator’s life, legacy and enduring popularity after 75 years,” featuring 160 pages of new content. This book will have rare photographs, stories from from crew members and competitors, and celebrations of his biggest moments.
“Two anniversaries converge in 2026: Dale Earnhardt would have turned 75 on April 29,” the book’s description states. “And 25 years have passed since that last-lap crash at the 2001 Daytona 500 that took him from us.
“This 160-page commemorative book celebrates the life of the seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, a record shared with Richard Petty and Jimmie Johnson, who turned stock car racing into something that mattered to people who had never set foot in a garage. The kid from a Kannapolis mill town became, as his own son put it, ‘like Elvis … beyond this world.'”

Earnhardt, one of NASCAR’s greatest drivers, made his debut with one start in 1975. He then took on 27 races in 1979 while winning his first race at Bristol Motor Speedway. One year later, he won five races and his first championship.
Earnhardt won 76 Cup Series races, seven championships, and 21 races in what is now the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series. He also became an icon of the sport, especially after moving to the black GM Goodwrench Chevrolet in 1988. This is when he truly became The Intimidator.
Unfortunately for NASCAR fans, they will not be able to get this coffee table book shipped to the house before Christmas. It is currently on preorder with an expected release date of April 24, 2026. The regular price is $44.95, but the current preorder price is $35.95.
The current cover rendering shows Earnhardt sitting against the blue and yellow No. 2. However, the description states that this isn’t the final cover. Additionally, this book is an unofficial account by The Daytona Beach News-Journal. The outlet notes that NASCAR did not endorse this.
