On the SportsCage, TSN lead CFL analyst Glen Suitor addressed the one league matter that people are shying away from

“This is the big elephant in the room right now. When Stuart Johnston was hired as commissioner, one of the main reasons was that the TV deal was about to expire and be renegotiated. That’s the elephant in the room for the first couple of months of this offseason. I haven’t heard this officially, but they’ve got to be talking, I’m sure. What are the alternatives, and what could the number become? I think right now it’s $55 million a year for the TV rights, and that’s divided by 10 teams, basically the league office being a 10th team. What’s a number that would be realistic that both parties would work with? Because both need each other, let’s be honest. I mean, TSN needs the league for programming, and the league needs TSN because I don’t know that there’s any other network that has the space or room or time for it.”
