Josh Billicki will be back in full-time competition in the 2026 NASCAR season, driving the No.07 car in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series.
It comes after Joe Gibbs Racing announced a rising star will also be joining them in the series. Billicki was full-time in the Cup Series back in 2021, driving for Rick Ware Racing and claiming a top-10 finish at Daytona. However, it proved just a one-season stint at NASCAR’s top table and he has operated a part-time schedule since.
After making six Cup Series starts for Garage 66 last season, including finishing 21st in the Chicago Street Race, he will now return to the second-tier series for the first full season since 2018. Meanwhile, a new National Stock Car Series is launching with a $2 million prize and five promises.
Billicki raced 19 times for DGM Racing with Jesse Iwuji Motorsports in the series last year, finishing in the top-20 five times, and finished 24th for his new team, SS Green Light Racing in Mexico City.
Billicki, who has made nearly 250 combined starts across NASCAR’s top three national series, said: “I’m really grateful for the opportunity to drive for SS Green Light Racing full-time in 2026 in the newly branded NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series.
“I’ve driven for SS Green Light Racing on several occasions in the past and have seen the potential here. Having the opportunity to be at the track every weekend creates the consistency needed to move this No. 07 team forward, and I’m excited for that challenge.
“I’m really thankful to Bobby Dotter and the entire team for this opportunity and look forward to Daytona in a few short months!”
Bobby Dotter, the former NASCAR driver who owns the team, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Josh to SS Green Light Racing.
“He brings experience, professionalism, and a drive to push our program forward. We believe Josh will be a great fit for our team culture and performance goals in 2026.”
