WWE’s Romeo and Juliet are back, as Liv Morgan returned at Survivor Series and cost John Cena his WWE Intercontinental Championship.
During tonight’s Survivor Series, a match between Cena and Dominik Mysterio turned chaotic. Mysterio tried to win by any means necessary, and even faked an injury to do so. The referee didn’t go for that, though, and threw out both Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez from ringside.
Later in the match, the rest of Judgment Day would come out after Cena incidentally knocked out the referee. They also failed, as Cena was able to fend them off and hit a double AA on them. However, that’s when Mysterio‘s last trick was played: Liv Morgan made her return to the ring.
She came running down to the ring to a smiling Dominik. However, things got weird as Morgan then slapped Mysterio, dropping him to the ground. A stunned Cena watched as Morgan then ran and jumped into his arms. This was all part of Morgan’s game, though, as she quickly got down and then kicked Cena in the groin.
This let Mysterio get the upper hand, and he finally won the match by hitting a 619 and then a big frog splash. He and Morgan then celebrated as fireworks went off, declaring the duo back and better than before.
For Cena, it marks the end of his time as Intercontinental Champion, and also means he has just one appearance left in the company. That will come on December 13, 2025, at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, in a match against the winner of his “The Last Time Is Now” tournament.
