MONROE, Ga. — Some Walton County residents are facing connectivity issues after a major power outage on Monday night, according to the City of Monroe.
As of 6 p.m., Monroe officials announced the loss of multiple transformers in the last 30 minutes due to high temperatures. The city expects most internet services to stop working if they are near the outage.
Work is currently underway to restore power. Monroe officials say that most issues should resolve themselves once the outage is fixed. If not, residents can call 770-267-7536 or 770-267-3429, and the after-hours center will create tickets for remaining issues.
