Jim Furyk once again captains Team USA in the three-team event, with Mike Weir stepping in as the new captain for Team International, while Darren Clarke once again leads Team Europe. The 2024 event was canceled in the wake of Hurricanes Helene and Milton on the Florida coast. Thursday afternoon features Scotch sixsome play, in which both players on each two-man team tee off on every hole, with one ball chosen and alternate strokes then played to finish the hole. The team with the lowest score gets two points, the team with the second-best score receives one point, and the highest-scoring team gets zero. When teams finish with the same score, they will be awarded equal points.

The event opened on Thursday morning with six balls, in which each player plays their own ball on each hole. Each grouping plays nine holes in the morning and again in the afternoon.

Furyk’s team includes Billy Andrade, Jerry Kelly, Justin Leonard, Brett Quigley, Steve Stricker, and David Toms. Team International has Steven Alker, Stephen Ames, Stuart Appleby, K.J. Choi, Retief Goosen, and Vijay Singh, while Team Europe features Alex Čejka, Miguel Ángel Jiménez, Robert Karlsson, Bernhard Langer, Colin Montgomerie, and Jesper Parnevik.

Friday’s play will again feature morning six-ball and afternoon Scotch sixsome, with a Saturday Pro-Am scheduled before two flights of singles play for Sunday’s finale.

This is a great golf event that you will not want to miss; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
