The provincial government is warning the public of a text message scam making the rounds regarding motor vehicle registration.
Government says people have received text messages with a link asking them to reset their password so they can receive a refund related to vehicle registration.
They say government would not communicate such information through a text.
People who do receive the message are being asked not to respond, to delete the message, block the number, and forward the message to 7726 – which will alert the service provider to open an investigation into its contents.
