Peel police are asking for help in finding a stolen SUV in connection with a string of vehicle break-ins in Mississauga this week.
Police said on Thursday, they received numerous reports of the break-ins in the areas of Kimbermount Avenue, Aquitaine Avenue and Regents Terrace.
We don’t have a total number yet as not all have been reported. They include vehicles from lots and in residential areas. No total value of goods stolen yet.
“The vehicles were unoccupied, and access was gained by either breaking windows or unlocking doors. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole property and valuables left inside,” police said in a news release on Saturday.
Investigators do not have the total number of vehicles that were broken into or the value of the goods that were stolen.
Police have released an image of the suspect vehicle, a 2017 white Lexus NX, linked to the break-ins.
Police said the SUV was reported stolen from a Mississauga address before the incidents and “is now a key focus of the ongoing investigation.”
They are asking anyone with information to contact them at 905-453-2121 ext. 1133 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
Police are reminding residents to lock their vehicles and not to leave any valuables inside.
