The westbound lanes of Highway 401 are closed near Milton following a possible road rage shooting incident early Monday morning, Ontario Provincial Police say.
Police say the westbound lanes of the highway are shut down between Guelph Line and Highway 6 south for the investigation.
According to police, the incident occurred between 1:30 a.m. and 1:40 a.m.

The victim’s vehicle, described as a red Hyundai, was found with bullet holes on the driver’s side. Two occupants were inside the vehicle at the time but no injuries were reported.
Police have described the suspect vehicle as a dark sedan.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Cambridge OPP at 519-654-0151.
The closure is expected to remain until 7 a.m., police said.
